I also wanted to say that your work is awesome! I ended up watching La Notte and L’avventura after [reading] your antonioni comics and was kind of in awe. The beginning of L’avventura for some reason really resonated [with] me, and i felt weird for a few hours after watching it.
Received a really nice email from fellow comics artist karpiel. It’s so nice to hear that the Antonioni comics are encouraging new viewers to watch the original films!
For anyone interested, Criterion Collection offers beautiful transfers to DVD of all of Antonioni’s “trilogy of alienation,” i.e. L’avventura, La notte, and L’eclisse.
The collection is called Drawing Antonioni and includes new pages that have not been published online! If you’re in Boston Oct 4-5 you should swing by Lesley and pick up a copy. I may also be doing some guerilla selling at comicartsbrooklyn if you’re missing MICE!
